About the program

Pesach 2024 was hosted at the Porto Carras Grand Resort, on the Sithonia peninsula of Halkidiki, northern Greece, under the management of Yehuda Vered. The resort sits on a stretch of sandy Blue Flag beach, with rooms and suites offering private balconies looking out over the sea, marina, or golf course.

The program included the finest Glatt kosher cuisine, with full board gourmet meals served with fine French wines and beverages, a tea room open until late at night, an afternoon sweet table, lunch-boxes for Chol Hamoed excursions, and a rich Israeli breakfast. Kashrut was under the hechsher of Rav Abraham Dov Harlap, with a team of professional mashgichim.

Sedarim

Guests celebrated both the central traditional Seder and the second Seder, both led by the resort's rabbi and cantor, with the option of a private Seder in dedicated rooms.

About the resort

Porto Carras is one of Greece's largest resort complexes, with a Health and Spa Center featuring heated indoor pools, a sauna, and a hammam. Sports facilities included an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, horse riding, and diving, alongside a marina, casino, open-air cinema, and an organic vineyard and winery on-site.

The Halkidiki peninsula is known for its Mediterranean forests, sandy beaches in sheltered bays, and significant archaeological sites, including the birthplace of Aristotle.
